The Overview tab acts as your website's executive summary. While the Realtime tab tracks the immediate present, the Overview dashboard aggregates your traffic data over a selected historical window (controlled by the date picker in the top right corner). This screen provides a highly scannable snapshot of your content performance, user acquisition sources, and audience demographics.

1. Hero Metrics & The Primary Trend Graph

At the top of the dashboard, Veyon provides two critical health indicators alongside their relative performance trends:

  • 🟦 Visitors: The total unique sessions recorded during your selected time frame. Underneath the total, a percentage indicator shows how this volume compares to the previous period (e.g., a red ↘ 46.7% indicates a traffic drop).

  • 🟥 Pageviews: The total number of pages loaded. The relative trend indicator here helps you understand engagement; if visitors remain steady but pageviews drop heavily, users are bouncing faster without exploring your site.

Below the summary counters, the Interactive Trend Graph visualizes this data chronologically. The X-axis represents your time block (e.g., hours of the day), while the Y-axis scales to your maximum traffic peaks. Hover over any point on the timeline to reveal a precise tooltip detailing the exact volume of both Visitors and Pageviews logged during that specific slice of time.

2. Content & Acquisition Panels

The mid-section of the dashboard breaks down what your audience is looking at and where they came from. Each entry features a standardized bar chart to visually weigh its impact against the rest of the list.

PanelDescription
PagesRanks your website's internal URLs by their total Pageviews. This is vital for identifying your most engaging blog posts, high-converting product pages, or spotting 404 error routes if broken links are being heavily accessed. Click the external link icon next to any path to open it directly.
ReferrersRanks incoming traffic sources by Visitors. This reveals your most successful marketing channels, showing whether traffic is arriving via direct links/email campaigns (Direct, Email, SMS), internal application referrals (e.g., pulse.seanergy.app), or organic search engines (e.g., [www.google.com](https://www.google.com)).

3. Audience Demographics & Technology Footprint

The lower section of the dashboard splits your audience into three diagnostic categories, helping you optimize your technical stack and marketing language to fit your actual user base.

  • Countries: Maps your visitors by their geographic origin (e.g., United States, India, Singapore). This helps validate localized marketing campaigns and confirms if your CDN is properly routing traffic for your core audience.

  • Browsers: Details the specific web clients accessing your site (e.g., Chrome, Edge). Notably, Veyon also tracks known web crawlers and diagnostic bots here (like Googlebot, Yisou Spider, and Baiduspider), allowing you to differentiate genuine human engagement from automated SEO indexing.

  • Operating systems: Breaks down the underlying hardware platforms (e.g., Windows, OS X, Android, iOS). If you notice a massive surge in mobile OS traffic, it signals an immediate need to prioritize mobile-responsive design testing.

Pro Tip: Each of these five breakdown cards includes a "View all >" link at the bottom. Clicking this link navigates you deeper into the specialized sub-tabs (Behavior, Acquisitions, Geographic, Technology) for expanded, paginated data sets.

4. Custom Events Tracker

At the very bottom of the dashboard is the Events panel. While standard pageviews track URL loads, Events track specific, custom-defined user interactions on a single page—such as clicking a "Checkout" button, playing a marketing video, or submitting a contact form. If no custom JavaScript event triggers are configured in your application code, this panel will cleanly display a "No data" status.
